This script was created to make it easier to work on lots of MEL scripts at once. Rather than creating a separate source/run shelf button for each script, you can just create a single button for this script. When its run, you'll be presented with a text field in which to type in the name of a script that you've added to your scripts directory (minus the .MEL extension). Click on the "Set Script" button, and you'll see the text update to verify the script that will be run.
Once you've done that, you can click on the "SourceRun" button to both source and run the script. To point the GUI at a different script, enter a new name and click the "Set Script" button.
