Creates a kind of cartoon style 'Tiny Planet' effect....
DESCRIPTION: Creates a kind of cartoon style 'Tiny Planet' effect.
USAGE:
Simply drag onto an object with a spatial projection and setup the object's displacement in it's Geom. Approx. options. It was created on, and therefore probably works best with, a default NURBS sphere. With a default sphere, a displacement setting of Angle = 5 and Max Steps = 4 seemed to work grand for me.
Once applied, you can scale away as much as you like so long as you don't freeze it's scaling afterwards which will muck things up. Probably.
Play with the Time slider in the node called 'CIRCLES's Fractal panel as a kind of seed. Be warned though, it may take a few attempts to get a nice looking set of *round* craters. Bit random really.
Didn't do anything with the surface shading as that's the easy bit and everone likes something different. That's my excuse anyway, and I'm sticking to it.....
