This script evolved from the need for me to capture a lot of the stuff I read, see hear or just soak up about animation on a day to day basis. I wanted this information in a neat little place I could easily refer to without crawling through webpages. So animFood came out of this.
Basically it is a little GUI in maya that will throw you ideas, inspiration, pointers, principles, quotes and all sorts about the intricate and incredibly difficult art of animation. All "entries" are captured in random bite size quotes or paragraphs, that are ideal for just reading occasionally whilst you work on a shot. There are over 350 in there for you to chew on. Its great to use as a 'checklist', or just to get you thinking in different ways about the way you create your animation.
Only a very small amount of entries are my own. Most are compiled mostly off the net from amazing artists like:
Frank & Ollie, Brad Bird, Ed Hooks, Carlos Baena, Glen Keane, Walt Stanchfield John Lasseter, Jason Ryan,
I`m constantly making new entries as I find them, so I put an update link that takes you to my blog, where you can always find the most recent version.
