Geometry type is subdivision. In Maya, there's smooth preview enabled on the base cage. In 3DS Max, there's a smooth modifier applied to the base cage, you can easily choose the number of iterations; modifier stack is intact. The OBJ and LWO versions contain only base cage. The whole geometry consists of quad shaped polygonal faces only, there are no triangles or n-gons. The scene consists of two objects, properly named in model space [Lid and Bowl]. The normals of the geometry are properly oriented and included in all file formats.
Base cage polycount:
Lid.............2418 vertices
................2416 faces
Bowl..........4786 vertices
................4784 faces
-----------------------------
In all..........7204 vertices
................7200 faces
[all faces are quads]
The bowl is 19 centimeters high, about 15 centimeters in diameter. The scale of the object is in real-world units [1:1], thus can be easily adjusted to suit the scale of the rest of your scene. Materials are not included, double-sided ray-traced glass material recommended. The model also looks nice with jade-like subsurface materials. Light setup isn't included.
