The Oya Project is a learning exercise for the creation of 3D computer animation and simulation. The project currently consists of two character animation movies of a fictional character named Oya. Both short movies tackle numerous challenges with character modeling, rigging, texturing, and animation. The movement in each movie was modeled on the performances of no less than sixty gymnasts and dancers and collectively took around 3 years to create. Both movies were created entirely using keyframe animation.
