This macro makes it possible to track the average color values (RGBA) of a selected area of interest and makes them accessible for further use. Inspired by Philipp D's "color2expression" script and baked into a macro (so it is actually possible).
It has some limitation though: 10bit (1024 steps) color resolution; a few codevalues of error margin (narf...); values have to be tracked before they can be used; the analysisRange can be set freely but you have to be at frame 0 when starting the track; doesn't seem to be compatible with shake v2.4 :-(
But maybe it'll work for some of you
Cheers,
Matze
