This macro extracts an images file name from the full path and displays it over the image. It does this by searching for two specific characters in the path name and returning the string inbetween. The first search is for the last occurence of ' / ' (lastOf) and the second search is for the first occurence of ' . ' (firstOf).

So if the path is "/project/shot1/scan/image.0001.tif" it would return "image".

The 'lastOF' and 'firstOf' characters are adjustable and there are offset variables for the start and end of the returned string.

Version 1.1 fixes a bug which caused the width and height variables to always be the same as the default format. This caused a problem with tranform nodes with any images with a different size to the default format. This affected scripts that didn't even use the macro. Apoligies to anyone who may have been affected.

Version 1.2 adds a toggle button to turn the filein image on or off. 12/07/06.

Any feedback on the usefulness of this macro would be greatly appreciated.

Alan.
