This is a free tool that allows you to type in a filename or path and see which objects in your scene have loaded your vray proxy file.
How to install: either run the script in Maya's script editor window (copy and paste the contents in a MEL tab)
OR
Place the .mel file in your maya/scripts folder and type "source VRayProxyFinder.mel" in a MEL tab. You can also put the "source..." part to a shelf.
The windows default for the maya/scripts is C:\[user]\Documents\maya\[version]\scripts\. For unix it is /home/user/documents/maya/version/scripts

Version 1.1 changes:
* Fixed issue with backslashes in paths on windows. Now you can type in an entire path in your search.
* Added check to remove quotes from paths. Now you can "copy as path" on windows and simply paste it in your search.
