Tiamat helps to prevent Maya render layer corruption, keeps your overrides neat and clean, and makes debugging scenes much easier.
Tiamat has the following features:
-controls your many Maya Render Layers
-takes care of your Vray Object Properties (updates, overrides, etc)
-handles your layer overrides
-has many built in quick overrides (matte, shadow, hide, etc)
-handles your AOVs (Vray render elements)
-takes care of your Light select AOVs
-has it's own groups that are not part of Maya
--objects, lights, etc can be in multiple groups (one object can be in multiple groups)
--Allows for Super Groups (groups of groups)
--Group Vray Object Properties
--Group Light Selects
-contains actions that allow for easy manipulation of multiple overrides
-contains selection section for easy building of Tiamat scripts
-contains override section for quick tracking, comparing, and saving of overrides and override states
