Single Hierarchy Joint Options

Could you explain the two options for SHJ"s, "freeze joint rotation" and "preserve joint rotation", what the difference is and in what cases they would be better suited for.

Freeze joint rotation will do exactly that, it will freeze the joints, meaning that all rotations end up as 0,0,0. The rotation ends up baked into the Joint Orient channels. This is what would happen if you manually froze your joints.

If you preserve your rotation, then the Joint Orients will remain zero, and all rotational value will stay in the rotate channels.

The reason why this option exists is because not all game engines support the joint orient attributes, meaning they ignore those and your skeleton could come into the game looking completely wrong.
