Motion retargeting

Hello,

I'm working with RRM at version 2.2.5 and Maya 2017 SP5.
I'm doing some tests for motion retargeting according to this tutorial on vimeo: https://vimeo.com/237753828

My results so far:
When I don't use the SingleHierarchy Skeleton, it works somehow. When I use the Mo-cap fighter animation which comes with maya, the character ends up upside down (Y-axis flipped). Except from this, the animation seems to transfer quite ok.

I did the same test again, but this time I was mapping the Human IK to the SingleHierarchy. My hope was to get a correct result (not flipped Y axis), as I've read in some other post that mapping HumanIK - SingleHierarchy might work in theory. When I try to apply the Mo-cap fighter animation, this test ends in Maya complettely crashing. There's not even some error message in the output window or script editor.

So my question is basically if anyone has any experience with this ? Any tips on how to set HIK motion retargeting up with Rapid Rig Modular ?

I will need to animate some kind of semi naturalistic human character soon, and I plan to use some poor mans mo-cap solution (Kinect & IpiStudio) to get it done. Of course I would love to have a workflow, where I could hand animate with my favourite rig in an emergency (if the mo-cap fails completely, or needs to be heavily improoved).

Thank you !
