If you want a UI automatically generated when you pick different controls for your character, then PoP_UI could be what you need. PoP_UI monitors the current selection for creating an automatically generated UI panel. A single panel is created and updated when you select a new PoP object. Saves you the trouble of having several different panels open for controlling a character, for example. Should work in all versions of Maya on NT and SGI.
