I've tried the latest version (1.5.3) and it works ok on 90degree angles and cubic meshes, but on anything sloped, curved, convex or non-uniformly quadded it seems to do a worse job than maya's basic extrude....?

hello that is great .. but in the new version I get error when executing it.. "not a valid object"!! .. on the other hand, the faces are separated which is not desirable the previous version worked for me well..

Wow, this function needs to be added to the next Maya. Works perfectly on all of the tests I have made. A must for people who do interior modeling.
