Sometimes you have a single (or a couple) attribue in the channel box you just want to control with visual controls. Sometimes you might want to use a channel control while in "expert mode".

This script is designed for that.

What this script does, is takes the attribute values you give it, and creates a generic "lever" object to control it. Using Driven keys, so the control should also work for people who don't have the plugin.

To use it (after placing the file in the script directory), create a shelf icon with this python code:

import Gooey_Lever as GL
GL.createGUI()

A window will pop up.

Enter a name if you like, or let the script pick one for you. The name will be added to the control object that is created.

Select the object that has the attribute you want to animate, and highlight it in the channel box. You can select multiple attributes. Currently the script only works for attributes in the upper section of the channelbox.

Set the attributes to the minimum you wish to control and push the "Set Minimum Values" button.

Then set the attributes to the max you wish to control, and push the "Set Maximum Values" button.

A lever will be added at world center that controls your attribute. You can move and reposition the lever by moving the circle at the base of the control. You can also resize the lever by resizing the base. Rotate the lever to change the attribute.

Thats it!
