The existence of this tool is rather unnecessary - or at least, not anymore. I'm not sure whether this is available in 2010 and below, but in 2011 and 2012 here is a better alternative:
Look to the menu in the script editor. Under Command, you can options like command completion, show tooltip help, and show quick help. These add together, plus ability to search replace and multiple tabs, makes maya itself sufficient to handle this job.
