for people having problems with this, make sure to execute it from the shelf or a hotkey because it won't work from the console line since the viewport has to be active. -

it works i myself use it.. use ALT key while executing will frame that camera infront of your existing camera and new camera is placed at where you wanted to create a view from... -

I'm glad somebody made this script. I've been making still shot renders in Maya for a little bit now and I hate when I find a shot and have to move my camera. Awesome stuff.
