I wrote this script during a project where I had to texture a whole scecne with a seamless algae and grass layer...
so what AlgaeBra does is:
you select an object with textures assigned to it, and the script helps you create a layered shader with the old texture and on top of it a new layer simulating all kinds of effects such as dirt, grass, algaes or rust.
I found it pretty handy not having to create all these shader networks by hand.
The usage is pretty self-explaining, even though I haven't gotten around to write the help files yet.
I wrote the script for Maya 5, and haven't tested it on any other version yet.
