i am a hobbyist 3d artist, and I modeled, textured and rigged this character. Unfortunately, I have tried to get this rig to work across multiple versions of Maya but apparently Maya 2013 doesn't recognize all the space age new technology in 2015, such as PARENT and POINT constraints. WOOOO, crazy new stuff Autodesk! Why would we EVER make this backwards compatible?!
I'm including the .ma files if anyone would like to get these working across all versions, but I have exhausted every option I can think of and the .ma tail is still messed up when I load it in anything other than 2015.
Aside from having started this project with .ma files from the beginning, I'm at a loss on this whole backwards compatibility, and while I'm annoyed, I wanted to at least share this with those who could actually use it.
Again,
CURRENTLY THIS RIG ONLY WORKS 100% IN MAYA 2015!
Sorry, thanks, please share if you like this rig, and comments and critiques always welcome.
All the best, Edan
