Q/A

'Render.exe' not recognized error?

Hey there! Came across this script generator and fell in love with it! Only problem is I can't get it to render :P
Everytime I try to run it in the command prompt I get this error:

---

C:\Users\Samantha\Desktop>Render.exe -r file -s 214 -e 214 -cam camera4 -rd "C:\
Users\Samantha\Desktop\test\images" "C:\Users\Samantha\Desktop\js_crystal_cathed
ral_v66.ma"
'Render.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program, or batch file.

---

I have no idea what that means or what to do about it. I set up the directories fine, just don't know why it's not batch rendering :P I am running it on Windows 8 btw, not sure if it makes a difference.

Have you tried making sure that you have the "Render exe" section filled out to the proper location?

    C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2016\bin\Render.exe
