I was so impressed by davy jones character in pirate 2 that i wanted to give a try and make my own crew member. I did the base mesh in modo then all the high res details in ZBrush. Render in Modo using differents passes that I composited together in combustion.67558 Views

Post nuclear Paris Editor's Pick
This matte painting was made for a contest of a french movie titled le dernier. The biggest challenge was to imagine what would look like the biuldings and houses behind de wrecked ones. The sky is from another photo that i tweacked for the purpuse of the matte
Softwares used: Photoshop,Softimage XSI,Combustion you can have a look at Mattepainting.org to see all reference photos

Mortal Terror Editor's Pick
While I can't pinpoint the initial inspiration (this composition just sorta came to me one night while I was drifting off to sleep), the final figure kind of looks like a tribal doll of some sort. Maybe a mechanical voodoo doll who has trapped a mortal soul in an electronic hell. The figure screams in agony at its imprisonment. Modeled in Max, rendered in Brazil, the hair was generated with Wirebundler, and the mist and sky painted in photoshop.15823 Views
