Absolutely stunning. Except for a little regularity in the bump in the body and pleather handle flawless. What shaders and light setup? You should do a walkthrough. I\'d definitely read it.
waoow... I was stuck in front of my computer looking for what was interesting in this photograph! I didn\'t notice it was computer generated!
So I guess, I have to say: Good Job!!
Cheers
Thank you for the comments! I really apreciate them. Right now, I can\'t explain you in detail how I did it. But I can tell you which lights and shaders I used.
It was made in Mental Ray with an Image Base Light (HDRI file). There are 4 lights in the scene: 3 spots and 1 directional light. This one (directional) has the color attribute maped with another HDR file (I first blured just a little in photoshop) with a low intensity above 0.4 (you can see it working at the top of the camera). Two of the spot lights are just in white and only one of them casting shadow (area light -mental ray light attribute- active with a \"10\" high samples). And the third spotlight has a simple jpg file just by adding irregular soft colors (with a very low intensity).
I used simple maya nodes shaders (some phongs -few of them just with a 3d render node maped at the bump attribute- and blinns) instead of the lens shader, which is a mental ray node (dielectric_material). At last, the base has a low reflection blur (at the mental ray attribute blinn shader). Hope this can be usefull...
Regards
J.
