Sorry , I always confuse the plugins with scripts , i dont now why.
It is rare because in my office does not work, but now that I try in my house, and runs smoothly .. lol .
Let me continue testing it, since Maya 2017 migrated from PySide to Pyside2 with QT5 , but this script does not contain these libraries .

Basically it's a script not a plugin, so it's not need any re-compile work for MAYA 2017
But I haven't tested the script with MAYA 2017, so let me know if you met any issue.
