to run, source the script and/or run the following mel command:
rmbTileToolUI;
there are also some very basic rotational and base lattice scale offset featurez. to use the base lattice scale "offset", assign some geometry as a "reference". each base lattice will be scaled to match that the bounding box of the reference object. if the reference object is smaller than the entire tile, this can have the effect of allowing tile featurez to extend beyond the actual tile/lattice cube (see example screenshotz...). for this work as expected, make sure u leave the "hide lattice" option *unchecked*.
since each tile is effectively pinned to target surfacez (via normal contraintz), u can freely manipulate the target surfacez (cv/component editz, etc.) and the tilez should flow with it.
please consult the script source for more information...
this is my first contributed effort and is very much a work-in-progress. it workz for me on maya 2011 through 2013. perhapz it may prove handy to u as well ;-)
this script was adapted (but completely re-written) from panel tool scriptz obtained from christopherwhitelaw.us.
august 2013 - this script has been superceded by "rmbFaceTool", which presentz this same funcionality within a ui "tab".
