Feature Request

Options in the uv map drop down.

Hey it's awesome that you have the uv map options on the left side now, but could you please add the following, or add some way to set options for each button. For automatic mapping I want the default set to layout tile. For camera projection I want the ability to toggle keep image width/height ratio.

Good suggestions - this will be implemented within a day or two as a hotfix!

UI´s for all UV mapping buttons have now been added in NSUV 1.5.1 (Right click a button to open the option window).

Thanks, but there looks like there is a bug. The most important setting of camera projection is missing from the menu. Keep image width/height ratio is not present. And right clicking the automatic map button causes an error and does not bring up the settings window for that tool. # Error: KeyError: file C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2015\Python\lib\site-packages\pymel\core\language.py line 486: mapAutoLayoutRadGrp2OptVar

Sorry for the inconvenience Malcolm. This should now be hotfixed. Please download again and confirm that things are working out as they should! Thanks in advance.

Almost there, I think the last couple issues are related to the gizmo not being created once you create the uv mapping so there is no bounding box information? Camera mapping bugs: 1. Turning off width/height is ignored, mapping always produces the same result in nightshade. 2. UV unwrap is not centered in the uv space like the Maya default tool with the same settings. Automatic mapping bugs: 1. Scale x, y, z, is set to zero making all the newly created shells stack on top of each other, this is different and undesired compared to the default Maya automatic mapping. Scale is determined by bounding box I think.

Thanks for being my personal QA-tester ;) Camera mapping: In NSUV this procedure is the same as "Create UVs based on camera" in Maya - ie: it´s not the camera option under "planar projection". However, since Planar projection > Camera, is superior - this will be changed. Automatic mapping: I´ve run through all options and compared the projection results side by side (NSUV against native Maya) and am unable to produce results that differ. Can you confirm this bug, and maybe provide an example of the options you run when you get these deviant results?

Alright, thanks. I´ll take a look at this on tuesday when I´m back home. The bug with auto mapping will be hotfixed but this new feature will have to be written from scratch. Do you perhaps have LinkedIn so that we can connect? You can send me your details to my mail: martin.dahlin@live.com

I have befriended you on linked in. The issue I'm most concerned with is the straighten edges tool, installing and loading up UVdelux just to straighten edges is a pain.

Accepted! I´ll look over all the issues and feature requests that you've submitted!

I have been able to reproduce the issue with Orient Edge and it has been added to my todo/fix -list.
