Tried it on maya 2009 and i t totally F'd up my shelves. Thank goodness I had my shelves backed up on a hard drive.
If anyone else is thinking of using this script I strongly advise you to think twice. But, if for some reason you want to try it, make sure to backup your shelves folder first.
To reverse the awful aftermath of this script just close maya, delete the kwshelf script, remove it from your userSetup.mel, delete your userPrefs.mel and windowsPrefs.mel, and then copy and replace your backed up shelves. Then restart maya. You will just have to change your settings and Preferences back since you deleted userPrefs.mel and windowsPrefs.mel everything will be back to default settings.
