This is a tool that snaps one object to the place of another. Maya doesn't do this right. So I wrote a little script that snaps object. You can put it into a shelfbutton. Make sure you have the same orientation in the two objects. You can do freezee's. It can get complicated, but once you get to work with it, you'll see its pretty handy and easy.
v1.1 Update: Now the object you want to move, must be selected first. I think its more intuitive. Thanks to Bruno Telesforo for poiting me that.
v1.2 Update: Now the script Works as a global procedure. Open the readme.txt for help and detailed info. Thanks to Joojaa from highend3D foruns for pointing me that.
