Just a little script that mimics 3dStudio Max ability to "Shift" select an edge to perform an edge extrusion. It is set up to work with either an edge(s) or face(s) depending on which is selected.
The script can be used as a shelf button and then using "G" to repeat the command
OR
copy the script to Windows>Settings and Preferences>Hotkeys...
This has been fixed in Maya8 with the single Extrude button...so if you're using 8 move along... there is nothing to see here.
