Thank you for sharing this script :) it works perfectly as described, as long as you ONLY run "FBpolyPlanarize" and NOT "FBpolyPlanarizeSetup"

"FBpolyPlanarizeSetup" however, brings Maya to a complete freeze (every time on my machine).

Thanks for the bug notification 'FBpolyPlanarizeSetup' is mostly to write to your userSetup file so you can access it through the menu easily, but it looks like when I wrote this I was too much of a noob to consider whether or not the userSetup.mel file already existed. Sorry, it's fixed now if you want to redownload :)
