After running it on a series of controllers it doesn't follow it's parent position so there's no secondary motion added other than gravity.

I'm attaching a rig. http://www.cgmodelers.com/cloud/s/eKEQrawk7wGqUyP

You can convert to DMM the controls of one tentacle and they wont follow the parent motion.

Also it automatically reorients the controllers to a different position other than the initial.

Looking into the orientation issue, but the tool was basically designed to automate some basic overlap, and then immediately bake the result. It wasn't designed to created a sustained dynamic system, but we'll see if we can make it more possible. Dynamics respond to the passage of time, so unless the encompassing dynamic system is directly integrated, the system remain at the origin of its creation. I've already addressed the orientation issue, which will be fixed in the next update.  If there is a parent ahead of the first selected object or control, all dynamics will anchor to it and respond relative to it in v1.0.2. More updates to follow.
