Tried in both maya 2015 and 2014. It also crashed for me in 2015, but worked flawlessly in 2014. Hope there is a patch for 2015 soon, or someone in here figures out work around. Keep us posted.

Just found a solution to use the script in Maya 2015. you just have to run the script and create your chain in maya 2014, and after that save your work and open it with maya 2015, and boom you have this awesome dynamic chain system in maya 2015, simple as that.
