Feature Request

k_color feature

This is a great tool. Should of been a part of Maya years ago but nice to see that someone came up with the tool and is giving it out to others. It would be cool if when you mark a key tick on the timeline in a different color that it would also appear in the dope sheet. Yes I am one of those people who use the dope sheet. Just an idea. Thanks again for the great tool. I am running it on Maya 2013.

Hey, i will look at that. It's been a long time since I've opened the dope sheet! I'm not sure if it will be possible actually, I'll take a look. Thanks for pointing that out.

Any head way on this feature?

Hey, sorry for late reply. Someone else asked me about the dopesheet too. I'll have some time this week and will hopefully upload a version by the end of the week. I don't think I can do it actually without going into the API, and I don't have enough knowledge of it at the moment. Ideally I would code my own timeline/graph editor/dopesheet so that I can add the features that I want and make them work nicely together but that's another story! I'll let you know if I can come up with something.

Your solution sounds like a good one so than the tool works as a complete piece. Thanks for looking into this.

Hi, so I can't do anything for the dopesheet at the moment, sorry. As I was saying, I would have to go into the API and if so I would actually try to code my own timeline/GE/dopesheet... and not just add color to the maya dopesheet. This is something I'd really like to do one day, but first i don't know much about the API at the moment! (it might be a good idea to start with something smaller than making a whole timeline/GE/dopesheet... system :P) and I don't have the time to look at it for now. I won't investigate more on this feature with this script for now, sorry.
