Tried this on Maya 2009 and unfortunately every options under the "file menu" disappear, just the Autosave option shows up. Hoping to see a fix in the future =). Tks.

this adds an extra process to all commands done within maya and can cause more crashes than if you dont have it. as said in anohter comment here it uses the CPU in background. avoid if using heavy scenes.

This isn't my first day using Maya or anything, but I have yet to figure out how this works or why it's not working for me. I installed ran the script and adjusted the settings and then worked for about 4 hours never saved once was happy that it was going to do it for me but it never did. I checked the last version I manually saved to see if my work was being saved over top, but nothing new was added. My machine had crashed and has before because I carelessly run multiple apps that cause a lock up of my system forcing me to do a hard shutdown. Anyways any instructions on this or an detailed explanation as to how this scrips is supposed to work would be great. The help function only provides the same listed here on high-end so it was of little help. Sorry for the slam but this is one of those things that if you depend on it then it has to work or it's useless and even worse infuriating. Thanks,

very useful script, but the only reason which makes it unusfule for me is that when I enable it my cpu usage percents goes around 90% or highter. If u can find a way to get rid of high processing between the save times, it would be great! thanks for sharing!

tried this out since yesterday. Set 15 min time limit for me this was good. I suggest setting an incremental file save to about 3, just in case you get some form of error or corruptoin you will have 2 other recent copies to fall back on should anything bad happen. Been looking for somehting like this for a while. Still puzzled why it isn`t a feature of the package by default. As a long time Max user, it saced me a lot of times in the past.

hi Bahman, I've no more this problem since the 2nd publication of this script. have you the last version of this script? overwrite the file you have by the file from a new download. i hope this will correct this bug, because I don't have this problem TokyoStormDrain, this script use the standard save option that include the incremental save, you only have to activate it to auto incremental save it.
