Hey, I'm not working in Visual Effects any more - unfortunately I won't be able to maintain the plug-in. I've opened up the source and there's a (tiny) thread with some more details here: https://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=7&t=943355 Any "bad magic number" issues are probably due to using .pyc files that were built with a different version of Python. I'm guessing Python was updated in later versions of Maya, meaning you'll have to use the raw source files linked in the above thread. James -

I got a "bad magic number" error in maya 2011 and MacOS 10.6. Is there a way to make it work? Thank you -

I couldn't make it work in maya 2011. I tried hard because it is a really nice handy tool, but i just couldn't make it. I don't know if it is me or a version limitation. Thanks anyway!! -

OK, so this didn't work in Maya 2011 OSX, but it worked like a charm in 2009 OSX on Leopard. I seriously didn't think it could possibly work considering the amount of particles and instnaced geometry, but it did. JamesPiechota, you are The Tits. Amazing. I have no idea how to script and you saved my ass on this job. 5 stars, yo. -

It's a great great plugin but it wont install if I have my maya pref on server. It has to be on my local drive. @ hurricanz: That's probably what happened to you... -
