In maya 2017, SHAPES Brush works very well. But in maya 2016SP5, I got a warning message such as // Warning: Only mesh objects are supported. // when touch an object with the brush. The plugin is loaded for sure, I used ‘SHAPESBrush()’ command instead of ‘SHAPESBrushUI’ command Which returns an error. I have already tried a few times to install, so I think there is no mistake in installation process.
Apologies for the command error. SHAPESBrushUI was the command in earlier versions and recently has been changed but the description hasn't been updated.
When you get this warning message you don't have a mesh selected. For example, when you create a sphere and directly want to use the brush this error appears but just because not the mesh of the new sphere is selected but the creation node which allows you do edit subdivisions, etc.
Please check again or provide a list of reproducible steps.

Unfortunately, I still got some problems after trying to reinstall carefully. I will upload a print screen image what happens in my environment. I do not know whether or not this is my specific problem. Sorry for my bad English skill.
