Reference photos from 3d.sk. Rendered with mental ray in max, base mesh on maya, modeling and textures in zbrush, and photoshop for some adjustments.
I used image plane and zapplink, to try to make the texture as close as possible to the photo.
The beard might look "copied and pasted", but it's actually texture. Thanks.
