Checker pattern?

Date:09/08/2015
Submitted by: Geta-Ve Geta-Ve
I feel like I am simply not looking in the right place ... but where is the checker patter icon / function? I mean, sure I could add a checker material myself, but 2015 introduced the nice checker patter for the UV editor that didn't require messing with materials.

Thanks! :D

Down at visibility bar, first click "Toggle texture display" and then click the "Toggle checkered tiles". However, this is not the same as applying a new material to a mesh with a checker texture. Checker tiles is the new display mode added in Maya 2015.

Yup, that is exactly what I was looking for! As an aside ... I had NO CLUE that bar was there ... I had to open Maya to believe it was there. I read your post and started thinking "but ... there's no bar at the bottom ... " lol Is it possible to sit that bar at the top (just below the other one?) Either way, thanks man! :D

Hello It's the seventh icon on the left, on the Visibility/Display bar. Also located on this bar is the "Default UV Editor" button. Don't forget to also make sure that the first icon there - "Toggle Texture Display" - is also active.
